Welcome to the world Bree Alexandra Schafer

At 12:56 a.m on 2-22-09, Bree made her entre to the world. She weighed 7 lbs 15.7 oz and measured 21.5" long. What was a long wait from when this process started, it was well worth the wait. Pictures are coming later today, we plan to get some rest as it will be needed in the time to come.

We are in labor!

Got to the hospital around midnight last night after the water broke at 10:30pm. Was a long night with little progress. Got the epidural at 4 cm, and will update again once the baby is here.
Boy/Girl we are getting closer to finding out!

The Due Date has come and gone!!!

Well this baby is picking the perfect day to make it arrival I guess. It has been nice to have time at home to get some last minute things done Monday I shampooed my living room and made homemade chicken and noodles, yesterday I cleaned out the fridge, who knows what I will find to do today. I go back to the Dr. tomorrow and see the nurse practitioner and hopefully I will have progressed a little. We will keep you all updated!!!

Pregnancy Update

Well we had a Dr. appointment today, so I thought we would update you. Last week I was 1cm and 50% effaced with the baby's head being very low!! So I thought okay we will go today and surely be 2, 3, or maybe even more, but nope I had made no progress! Oh well the baby will come when it wants to, I don't want to be induced so who knows how much longer I will be a pregnant lady. I also found out that my Dr. takes a golfing trip each year with some friends and that happens to be next week. He stated that first time moms can go from two weeks early to two weeks late and that there is a good chance he will be back to deliver the baby, though the other Dr. in the office is a very nice lady and we wouldn't have a problem with her delivering the baby. Good news is that tomorrow is my last day of work for 10 weeks, which can not come any sooner looking at the size of my ankles!!!

Baby Shower!!!

I want to thank all of you who attended the baby shower yesterday. Brian and I really appreciated all the goodies we got for the baby. I now feel like we are prepared for the arrival of the baby. Today I spent the afternoon washing everything we have for the baby, man all the little onsies take forever to fold, I better get use to it!!! Well I think Brian and I are going to play Yahtzee tonight while he is forced to watch the SAG awards with me!!! I hope everyone stays warm and has a good week!!!!

Only 4 Weeks to go!!!!

Well I got a haircut yesterday so I thought I would update my picture because I look like I just got out of bed in the last one. This week we are starting our weekly appoinments!!! We are getting so close. Everyone needs to enter their guess on the baby, the link is on the right side of the blog. I am interested to see when everyone thinks the baby will arrive. Last night we ventured to Emily and Jeff's house with our Wii. Andrea and Linda M. came over and I think we all had a good time!!!

35 Weeks!!!

Well it is Golden Globe's night!!! Everyone knows I am a huge celebrity freak and love watching all the awards shows to see what everyone is wearing. Sooo I am upstairs watching the pre-show and Brian is downstairs watching football until the show starts then I will move downstairs to the big screen. We finally got our computer back this week, then had a nasty virus and Brian had to overhaul the computer. Brian and I cannot believe we only have 5 weeks left!!! This weekend we cleaned the house like crazy!!! I think that I am offcially in the nesting phase of pregnancy!!! I go to the doctor on Thursday, then start my weekly appointments!!! At the last appointment they wanted me to do a kick count after breakfast and supper. I am suppose to count three kicks in an hour, the doctor says it helps prevent stillbirths. Well our lovely baby takes about 5 minutes to kick me 50 times, I love feeling the movements but man does it hurt!!!! Well the show is about to start and I need to move downstairs!!!!
